MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514069854 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on July 22, 2025, for 'lower structure for electric vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To dispose an electrical component in a limited space below a floor part and to enable the electrical component to be effectively protected. [Solution] A lower structure for an electric vehicle includes a battery pack disposed below a floor part, and forward from an electric motor, and a vehicle body frame arranged on opposite outer sides of a battery pack 10. Between a front part of the battery pack and the floor part, a space region R is provided, in the space region R, subframes 51 and 52 suspended on the vehicle body frame on opposite sides are arranged, and an electrical component 60 is attached to a part of the subframes 51 and 52 that faces the space region R."
