Abstract: The titled invention discloses a low-cost handheld hybrid 3D scanning system for efficient three-dimensional object digitization and reconstruction. The system comprises a camera module (1), a wireless communication module (2), an image preprocessing module (3), a feature extraction module (4), a feature matching module 10 (5), a sparse point cloud generation module (6), a dense point cloud reconstruction module (7), a sensor fusion module (8), a 3D mesh generation module (9), and a processing unit (10). The camera module (1) captures multiple images of a target object from different viewpoints and transmits the captured data through the wireless communication module (2) to the processing unit (1 0). The system performs 15 photogrammetric reconstruction through image preprocessing, feature extraction, feature matching, and point cloud generation. The sensor fusion module (8) optionally integrates depth information to improve reconstruction accuracy. The reconstructed data is converted into a 3D mesh model for visualization, analysis, design, and manufacturing applications. The system provides a low-cost, portable, and efficient 20 three-dimensional scanning solution through photogrammetry and sensor fusion techniques.
