MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641019738 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education, Virudhnagar, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 20, for 'long multiple cloth dryer stand with auto retractable rain protective shield for automated laundry.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The titled invention discloses a long length multiple cloth dryer stand designed for efficient drying of long and lengthy clothes in automated and commercial laundry environments. The system comprises a base stand (1) supporting a fixed central wall (2) and a vertically extensible wall (3) provided with height adjuster locks (4) for 10 positioning the drying structure at a desired height. Dual foldable spread wings (5) are .laterally extendable from the extensible wall to provide a wide drying area. Cloth hanging ropes (9) are arranged along the spread wings through cloth gliding rails (14) and are operated using a rope driving hub (1 0) and a pulling drive motor (11) for . . convenient handling of long clothes. A rain sensor (6) detects rainfall and activates a 15 shield winding drive motor (8) connected to a shield winding roller (7) to automatically deploy a protective shield over the clothes. A control panel (12) and power charging port (13) enable syste111 operation. The invention ensures space-efficient, weatherprotected, and low-effort drying ofmultiple long clothes."
