MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018752 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'locomotion assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Asit Kumar Subudhi.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A locomotion assistive device, comprises of an oval frame 101 accessed by a user to position the frame 101 around neck portion of the user for supporting the frame 101 over shoulders of the user, an air compressor 103 attached with the frame 101 to inflate an inflatable cushioned layer 102 fabricated with the frame 101 to provide comfort to the user, an imaging unit 104 synced with a laser sensor for detecting height of user, a pair of inverted L-shaped telescopic rods 105 to extend in accordance with the detected height to position a wheel 106 attached with each ends of the rods 105 in contact with ground surface, a speedometer 107 installed in the frame 101 to monitor speed of the frame 101 during propulsion of the frame 101 over the surface, and a rain sensor installed over frame 101 to determine presence of rain in surroundings."
