MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115413 A) filed by IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'location monitoring system and method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Prof. Naveen Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for monitoring a location of a user includes a device (102) configured to acquire location data using at least one of a Global Positioning System (GPS) module, a Wi-Fi module, a cellular network interface, or a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interface. A processor (106) acquire and fuse location data, determine operational context, and adjust data acquisition frequency based on battery condition. The processor defines geofenced safety zones, detects deviations, and generates multi-stage alerts transmitted to a computing device (104) associated with a caregiver. The processor (106) activates emergency mode through SOS triggers, enables temporary access tokens for secure viewing, manages data retention, and performs encrypted communication. The system (100) supports proximity-based power optimization, movement pattern analysis, and fall detection, enabling efficient, secure, and context-aware user location monitoring and alert generation."
