According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The Location-Aware Public Complaint Reporting & Resolution System is an innovative web-based platform designed to improve the efficiency and transparency of civic issue management. This system enables citizens to report public infrastructure problems such as road damage, street light failures, water leakage, and waste accumulation using a digital interface integrated with geographical mapping. Traditional complaint systems rely heavily on manual reporting methods, which often result in delays, inaccurate location descriptions, and lack of communication between departments. This invention introduces a smart, location-aware solution that captures the exact geographic coordinates of the reported issue and maps it visually for easy identification. The system allows users to submit complaints by selecting the issue category, providing descriptions, and marking the location on an interactive map. Once submitted, the complaint is automatically routed to the appropriate department based on predefined classification rules. This eliminates the dependency on a centralized administrator and ensures faster resolution. The platform also provides real-time tracking of complaint status, enabling users to monitor progress from submission to resolution. Administrators and departmental authorities can access dedicated dashboards to manage and resolve assigned complaints efficiently. By integrating geographic mapping, automated routing, and real-time monitoring, this system enhances urban governance and supports smart city initiatives by enabling data-driven decision-making and improved public service delivery."
