MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055844 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 10, for 'lithium secondary battery having high specific capacity.'

Inventor(s) include Kim, Bong-Soo; Park, Seong-Hyo; Kim, Sang-Woo; Jang, Rin; and Hyun, Jae-Min.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a lithium-sulfur battery having high capacity and high energy density, and provides novel parameters for the properties thereof. The lithium-sulfur battery of the present invention comprises: a positive electrode comprising a sulfur-carbon composite; a negative electrode; a separator interposed between the positive electrode and negative electrode; and an electrolyte, wherein the content ratio (RSL) for the element sulfur (S), according to formula 1 of the specification, is 15% or less."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 06, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/015467.
