MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058972 A) filed by Panasonic Intellectual Property Management Co. Ltd., Osaka, Japan, on June 19, for 'lithium secondary battery.'
Inventor(s) include Uchiyama, Yohei.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In the present invention, a lithium secondary battery comprises a wound electrode group, a core member that is positioned in a hollow of the electrode group, and a non-aqueous electrolyte that has lithium ion conductivity. The wound electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator that is positioned between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. At the negative electrode, lithium metal precipitates out during charging, while the lithium metal is dissolved during discharging. The core member is in the form of a hollow cylinder, has a slit that extends in the axial direction, and both peripheral end portions that delimit the slit are misaligned without abutting each other."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/046244.
