MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517057720 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 16, for 'lithium secondary battery.'

Inventor(s) include Oh, Young Ho; Ahn, Kyoung Ho; Lee, Chul Haeng; Han, Jun Hyeok; Jeong, You Kyeong; and Ko, Yoon Seok.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a lithium secondary battery comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, wherein the positive electrode comprises a positive electrode active material, the positive electrode active material comprises lithium iron phosphate particles, the nonaqueous electrolyte comprises a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and an additive, and the additive comprises a compound represented by a specific chemical formula."
