Inventor(s) include Akshada Kiran Apte; Rohini Rakshak; Santosh Radhakrishna Bodakhe; Sushant Sharma; Rohit Srivastava; and Shweta Bhatt.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The proposed solution provides a composition and method of preparation for a liquid bandage composition that includes an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), a solvent, a sterile bio-adhesive, a silicone-based polymer, and clove oil. The API supports wound healing by facilitating tissue regeneration and repair. The solvent used is a combination of hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) and isooctane. The sterile bio-adhesive allows forming a bond upon contact with the skin or tissue. The silicone-based polymer creates a breathable protective barrier on the skin or tissue, allowing oxygen to reach the skin or tissue or wound on the skin or tissue while preventing entry of bacteria or other contaminants. The clove oil inhibits the growth of bacteria or fungi on the skin or tissue. The composition, upon application to the skin or tissue, forms a protective film to provide antimicrobial protection for the skin or tissue."
