MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641007075 A) filed by Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Ja. 23, for 'lipid based oral nano formulations of antiretroviral agents.'

Inventor(s) include Vanaja Kenchappa; and Anjali Dubey.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an oral proliposome containing antiretroviral drugs particularly Lopinavir and Ritonavir and a preparation method. Further the present invention comprises the following ingredients by shares: Lopinavir and Ritonavir, soya bean lecithin, Egg phosphatidylcholine, Phospholipon(R) 90H and cholesterol. The pro- liposome of the invention has the advantages of high stability, high entrapping efficiency, even grain diameters, small side effects and the like."
