MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202638045792 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on April 9, for 'link processing method, multi-link device and computer-readable storage medium.'

Inventor(s) include Huang, Guogang; Gan, Ming; Zhou, Yifan; Guo, Yuchen; and Li, Yunbo.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This application relates to the communications field, and in particular, to a link processing method and a device. In a method, first information received by a first 10 MLD on a first link is used to determine whether a BSS configuration of a second link is updated. If the BSS configuration of the second link is not updated, the first MLD directly transmits a data frame on the switched-to second link or the second link whose status is transited, and does not need to transmit the data frame until a beacon frame is received and a latest parameter of the BSS configuration is 15 obtained on the switched-to second link or the second link whose status is transited. Therefore, the method reduces a waiting time required before the data frame is transmitted. In another method, a first MLD sends second information to a second MLD, to obtain a message about an updated parameter or a not updated BSS configuration of a second link on a first link. In this way, the first MLD can 20 directly transmit a data frame and does not need to wait for a beacon frame to be received on the switched-to second link or the second link whose status is transited. The method also reduces a waiting time required before the data frame is transmitted."

The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 17, 2021, under International application No.PCT/CN2021/087955.
