MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414072025 A) filed by Lg Display Co. Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 24, 2024, for 'lighting inspection device and display device includingthe same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display device (100) according to an embodiment of the disclosure may comprise a display panel (110) including a display area (AA) where a plurality of subpixels (SP, RP, GP, BP) displaying an image are positioned and a non-display area displaying no image outside the display area (AA), a plurality of lighting inspection lines (DL1 to DL9) connected with the plurality of subpixels (SP, RP, GP, BP) along a pixel column for each color (R, G, B), a plurality of driving power supply lines (VL1 to VL9) supplying driving power (Vref, Vdd, Vss) to the plurality of subpixels (SP, RP, GP, BP), and an inspection unit provided in the non-display area and performing lighting inspection on the display panel (110). The inspection unit may include a mode signal input pad (230, 240, 250) receiving a lighting inspection signal (R, G, B) or driving power (Vref, Vdd, Vss) according to a driving mode of the display device (100), a lighting inspection switching element (T11 to T19) transferring the lighting inspection signal (R, G, B) to the plurality of lighting inspection lines (DL1 to DL9) when turned on according to the driving mode, and a power supply switching element (T21 to T29) connected to one end of the lighting inspection switching element (T11 to T19) and transferring the driving power (Vref, Vdd, Vss) applied to the mode signal input pad (230, 240, 250) to the plurality of driving power supply lines (VL1 to VL9) when turned on according to the driving mode."
