MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411075864 A) filed by Amber Enterprises India Limited, Rajpura, Punjab, on Oct. 7, 2024, for 'light weight odu fan for split ac out door unit.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an Outdoor Unit fan assembly 200. The ODU fan assembly 200 comprises a hub (202), and a plurality of blades (204). The plurality of blades (204) are circumferentially attached with the hub (202). The plurality of blades (204) comprises of a hub portion (206) having a first end (206a) connected to the hub (202) and a second end (206b). Further, the plurality of blades (204) comprises of a tip portion (208) comprising of a first end (208a) and a second end (208b), the first end (208a) has a convex contour and an intermediate region integrally extending from the second end (208b) of the hub portion (206) to the second end (208b) of the tip portion (208). Furthermore, the plurality of blades (204) comprises of a leading edge (212) extending between the first end (206a) of the hub portion (206) and the first end (208a) of the tip portion (208) and a trailing edge (214) extending between the first end (206a) of the hub portion (206) and the first end (208a) of the tip portion (208) and opposite to the leading edge (212). The fan assembly (200) is assembled as such that the hub portion (206), the tip portion (208), the intermediate region (210), the leading edge (212), and the trailing edge (214) together form a blade structure having an arcuate shape at the leading and the trailing edges (212, 214). Additionally, the thickness of the blade (204) structure continuously varies from the hub portion (206) to the tip portion (208) and from the leading edge (212) to the trailing edge (214)."
