MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018897 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'light therapy based facial grooming device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A light therapy based facial grooming device, comprises of a frame having a plate 1 developed to be positioned on the neck portion of the user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple images in the vicinity of the plate 1, plurality of motorized hinge 3 integrated on the plate 1 for providing tiling movement to the plate 1, a face-shaped structure 4 for exposing a particular light onto the user's facial skin, a computing unit accessed by the user for providing input regarding the skin issues, plurality of LED (Light Emitting Diode) 5 of varying colors integrated on the face-shaped structure to combat different skin-issues, a pair of straps 6 to tie the face-shaped structure 4 to the neck portion, and a pair of massaging units 7 for providing a massaging sensation."
