MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061512 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on May 14, for 'library management system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A library management system, comprising a user interface configured to allow users to create profiles, browse books, check real-time availability, select in-library sessions, and book issuance and receive optimized time slots, a pressure-sensitive platform 101 positioned at a library entrance is configured to detect user occupancy, an imaging unit 102 installed at the entrance monitors and captures the user standing on the platform 101, a bookshelf 103 positioned within the library comprises multiple modular compartments 104 each equipped with cascading sliders 105 and LED indicators 106 configured to store categorized books and push the selected book outward, a slider track 107 installed on a library wall is coupled to an articulated arm 108 with a gripper 109 configured to retrieve and position the selected book from the bookshelf 103 and a book inspection panel 110 is configured to receive the selected book for inspection prior user retrieval."
