MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123086 A) filed by Kg Reddy College Of Engineering And Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 6, 2025, for 'lepus nephetiries classifier web application through streamlit.'

Inventor(s) include Yanamadni Venkata Rao; K. Prathima; Ramisetty Anu; Gurrala Raghavender; Podapati Asmitha; Sangyam Soundarya; and Paddana Praveen Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Lepus Nephetiries classifier web application through Streamlit. Lupus nephritis or LN is one of the most severe clinical subsets of SLE affecting renal functions and disease prognosis. First and correct stratification of the disease classes of LN is vital for the development of an appropriate treatment strategy and clinical care. In this project, designed a CNN model for the automatic identification of LN disease classes from renal biopsy images. CNN model uses deep learning methods to define ultimo-fine renal histopathology images and classify LND efficaciously into disease classes. Also tested our model using a large data set, and the results show the model's good performance, suggesting that it would be useful to clinicians in identifying and staging LN disease classes rapidly and efficiently. With the inclusion of deep learning methods alongside histopathology information, LN staging and prognosis have a powerful weapon."
