MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621009362 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 29, for 'lens watermark detection and quality inspection device.'

Inventor(s) include Chetankumar Chudasama; Rajpal Meet Shankarbhai; Jivani Bhavykumar Manishbhai; and Harshil Ashok Motivaras.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A lens watermark detection and quality inspection device, comprising of a housing 101, a pair of motorized sliders 102 having a cushioned tray 103 to securely hold a plurality of lenses and advance them for subsequent processing, an artificial-intelligence imaging module 104 to automatically detect, verify, and classify lens watermarks by comparing captured lens images with manufacturer watermark standards, a plurality of articulated arms 105 to selectively transport lenses into a watermark-detected chamber 106, a pair of articulated grippers 109 to manipulate lenses for further testing process, a steam condensation unit 110 to apply controlled steam onto the lens surface for testing lenses, and a light reflection module 113 to emit light at variable angles, intensities, and wavelengths for testing lenses, and a display panel 116 to display real-time inspection status, authenticity scores, chamber fill levels, alerts, and diagnostics."
