MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056372 A) filed by Sightglass Vision, Inc., Dallas, on June 11, for 'lens element.'

Inventor(s) include Burgos Piedmont, Montserrat; Ponot, Solange; Ged, Guillaume; Martin, Joseph; and Soffiatti, Florian.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a lens element intended to be worn in front of an eye of a wearer comprising a substrate with a front face and a rear face, and optical elements located on one of the front or rear face of the lens element, said optical elements being realized in form of blind holes with respect to the face surface and providing a contrast reduction on the retina of the wearer contributing to myopia control, where at least one optical element has a peak-to-valley dimension (PV) of equal or less than 25 m."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 16, 2022, under International application No.PCT/US2022/053211.
