MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092003 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 25, for 'lens assembly and electronic device comprising same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device may be provided according to various embodiments of the present disclosure, the electronic device comprising: a lens assembly having a plurality of lenses aligned along an optical axis in the direction from an object side to an image side, the lens assembly comprising a first lens having a positive refractive power, a second lens having a negative refractive power, a third lens having a positive refractive power, a fourth lens having a negative refractive power, and a fifth lens; and an image sensor (IS) comprising an imaging plane (img) on which an image is formed. The electronic device may be implemented as a compact and high-resolution optical device. The lens assembly as described above may vary according to the embodiment, and a lens assembly and an electronic device comprising same, according to the other various embodiments, may also be provided."
