MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024856 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'leg stretching device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Jajneswar Nanda.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A leg stretching device comprises of a first platform 101 connected to a second platform 102 by motorized hinges 103 positioned on a ground surface with motorized wheels 104 for easy maneuvering, a cushioned seat 105 on the second platform 102 for the user to assume a lying posture, an imaging unit 106 integrated with a processor to detect user positioning and adjust the platform 101, a cushioned circular member 109 attached to a vertical plate 108 that slides towards the user's legs to assist with stretching, a pair of C-shape clamps 111 on rollers 112 and cables activated by the microcontroller to hold the user's legs in place, and a slider 113 that moves the seat in a to-and-fro motion to aid in leg stretching, a suction units 114 to secure the platform 101, EMG and pressure sensors to adjust stretch intensity, and a battery to power the components."
