MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020760 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'leftover food collection and distribution system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A leftover food collection and distribution system comprises of, multiple hollow bodies 1 configured with the system that is arranged on a ground surface, a touch enabled screen 2 mounted on each of the bodies 1 for enabling the user to give input commands for placing the food in the bodies 1, multiple cylindrical hollow members 5 attached with the bodies 1 and laid underneath the ground surface, a pair of motorized sliders assembled between each of the members 5 and plates for translating and positioning the plates, a first and second chamber configured with the system, and assembled on the ground surface, a robotic arm arranged underneath the ground surface for transferring the leftover food in one of the chambers, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit installed on each of the chambers for detecting presence of needy person/stray animal in front of the first and second chamber."
