MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019784 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'knee support device.'

Inventor(s) include Shiva Sharma; Bhupendra Chauhan; Divya Prakash; and Arif Naseer.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A knee support device, comprises of circular crafted with a slot 2 positioned on a ground surface, a pressure sensor to detect pressure applied by user's knee on the slot 2, a laser acuity sensor to detect dimension of the user's knee, an air compressor to inflate air into an inflatable body to provide comfort to the user, a motorized roller configured with a strap mounted for wrapping the strap as a means of further securing the user's knee on the platform 1 to prevent slippage of the user's knee from the platform 1, plurality of wheels 3 for facilitating the user to maneuver the platform 1, a moisture sensor for detecting presence of moisture content within the slot 2 and plurality of iris pores 4 crafted within the slot 2s to open for allowing passage of fresh air for reducing the detected moisture."
