MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105040 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Oct. 30, for 'kitchen waste management device.'
Inventor(s) include Bhumika Makwana; Chandrasinh D Parmar; and Mitesh Solanki.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A kitchen waste management device, comprising a body 101 e positioned on a kitchen surface, an imaging unit 102 monitor and detect objects and waste materials on the surface, a cleaning assembly clean and sort items on the upper surface of the body 101, a motorized conveyor belt 103 with a starting point connected to a storage compartment 104 and terminating at a plurality of waste chambers 105 to store sorted waste materials, an inspection unit detecting the type of waste over the conveyor belt 103, a clamp 106 separate and transport waste materials to respective storage chambers 105 and a smoke extraction assembly detect and expel smoke generated during cooking."
