MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127076 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 15, 2025, for 'kitchen utensils holding device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A kitchen utensils holding device comprises of a platform 101 positioned in contact with a vertical surface in proximity to a cooktop, a microphone 102 provides voice command for securing the platform 101 with the surface, multiple suction units 103 generates negative pressure to adhere the platform 101 with the surface, multiple inverted U-shaped holders 104 positions pot lids, an imaging unit 105 detects positioning of the lids in the holder 104 along with dimension of the lids, a motorized drawer arrangement 106 extends/retracts dimension of the holder 104, a plate 107 having multiple motorized clamps 108 installed on lower portion of the platform 101, a capacitive proximity sensor synced with the imaging unit 105 detects engagement of the ladles in the clamps 108, a tray 109 detachably receives food items dripping off from the lid when held in the holders 104."
