MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006953 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'kitchen slab marble cutting device for sink installation.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Manjit Singh; Gurkirat Singh; Navneet Singh; and Lovepreet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A kitchen slab marble cutting device for sink installation, comprises of a platform 1 positioned in proximity to slab constructed from marble, a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by a user to provide input commands regarding installation of a sink, a camera 3 to detect height of the slab, a set of telescopically operated rods 4 to align a plate 5 arranged over a set of telescopically operated bars parallelly over the slab, a telescopically operated link 7 configured with a cutter 8 to cut the slab in a user-defined dimensions, a set of curved-shaped members 10 configured with said plate 5 via a set of motorized hinges 11 to deploy and from enclosure for cutter 8 for preventing the spread of dust particles being generated during of the slab."
