MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090461 A) filed by Kansai Paint Co. Ltd., Hyogo, Japan, on Sept. 22, for 'kit for three-component coating composition, three-component coating composition, and in-mold coating method.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The purpose of the present invention is to provide a kit for a three-component coating composition that has a low VOC content, is capable of shortening a process required for cleaning a coating device when performing multi-coloring, has excellent hardness and adhesion, and makes it possible to form a coating film in which uneven coloring is suppressed. The present invention relates to a kit for a three-component coating composition including (A) a main agent containing (a1) an isocyanate-reactive group-containing compound, (B) a curing agent containing (b1) a polyisocyanate compound, and (C) a pigment paste containing (c1) an isocyanate-reactive group-containing compound and (c2) a pigment, wherein the viscosity (VA) of the main agent (A) under specific conditions is in the range of 20-1,800 mPa s, the viscosity(VB) of the curing agent (B) under specific conditions is in the range of 20-1,800 mPa s, and the viscosity (VC) of the pigment paste (C) under specific conditions is in the range of 20-1,800 mPa s."
