MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527089738 A) filed by Poseidon Intellectualp S. A. S., Guayaquil, Ecuador, on Sept. 20, for 'kinetic and potential energy ocean turbine.'

Inventor(s) include Pena Alvarez, Francisco Xavier.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a system for harnessing the kinetic energy of ocean, sea or river estuary currents by transferring the energy of water motion to a turbine that moves an electric generator. This system comprises several parts, primarily including: A) the intakes and ejector pump with a mixing chamber; and B) a cross-flow turbine (M1) (revolving door type, double blade)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 23, 2023, under International application No.PCT/IB2023/051647.
