MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011928 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'kid's assistive walking device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Jagyanseni Panda.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A kid's assistive walking device, comprising a pair of elongated rectangular flaps 101 having a pair of motorized wheels 102 configured with brakes, attached with each of the flaps 101 for enabling locomotion by peddling motion of the flaps 101, an inverted telescopic member 103 attached on the flaps 101 for enabling a user to acquire a grip on the flaps 101 during locomotion, a speaker 104 provided on the member 103 for generating an audio warning regarding an overweight condition, an imaging unit 105 installed on the member 103 to determine obstacle in front of the flaps 101, plurality of LEDs 106 installed on the flap 101 to provide illumination, a microphone 107 provided on the member 103 for receiving an audio command from the user and a touch-enabled display 108 provided on the member 103 for enabling the user to display speed of the wheels 102."
