MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518091544 A) filed by Interdigital Patent Holdings, Inc., Wilmington, U.S.A., on Sept. 24, for 'joint communication and sensing aided beam management for nr.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising: receiving configuration information indicating 1) resources for receiving a first set of reference signals from one or more transmit/receive points (TRPs) using a first set of receive (Rx) beams, 2) one or more first resource sets for a second set of reference signals, and 3) one or more second resource sets for transmitting a measurement report; transmitting a measurement report using one of the one or more second resource sets, wherein the measurement report is based on measurements associated with one or more reference signals of the second set of reference signals; determining a second set of Rx beams based on the measurements associated with the one or more reference signals of the second set of reference signals or based on a received Rx beam selection configuration, wherein at least one Rx beam of the second set of Rx beams is different from at least one Rx beam of the first set of Rx beams; and receiving the first set of reference signals from the one or more TRPs using the second set of Rx beams."
