MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521133817 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'jewellery item maintenance device.'
Inventor(s) include Motukapati Nageshwara Reddy; Ramireddy Venkateswara Reddy; Dr. Madhu Shukla; Simrin Fathima Syed; Vipul Ladva; Akshay Ranpariya; and Neel Dholakia.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A jewellery item maintenance device comprises of a cuboidal housing 101, a motorized input drawer 102 for receiving a jewellery item from a user, an inspection unit to determine purity, weight, surface condition, internal structure, and authenticity of the jewellery item, at least one telescopic arm 104 having multiple motorized joints and a motorized gripper for holding, orienting, and transferring the jewellery item between internal chambers, a cleaning unit configured to receive the jewellery item from the input drawer 102 for cleaning operation, a a laser alignment sensor that helps the repair tool reach the exact point with precise control repairing unit configured adjacent to the cleaning unit for carrying out repairing of jewellery item, a compartment 113 configured to store a plurality of storage cups 114 in a vertically stacked manner, a printing unit 116 configured to print unique identification along with details of jewellery including purity, weight, hallmark."
