MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621013350 A) filed by Gokul Global University, Patan, Gujarat, on Feb. 6, for 'jar lid detacher device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Chetanaba Rajput.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A jar lid detacher device, comprises of a circular frame 101 adapted to hold a jar or container placed by a user, a plurality of suction cups 102 to securely adhere the frame 101 to a surface for stability during operations, an input means to provide input commands regarding initiation of jar opening operation, a plurality of clippers 105 with rubberized ends integrated on the inner periphery of the frame 101 to securely hold the base of a jar or container, a L-shaped extendable articulated bar 107 having a three-finger gripper 108 to descend onto a jar or container and grasp the lid of the jar or container to rotate and lift, a rotatory actuator 109 integrated between the gripper 108 and the extendable bar 107 to rotate the gripper 108 to turn the lid of the jar or container."
