MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007258 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'iron rod holding device for construction.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an iron rod holding device for construction, comprising a body 1 installed with a set of elongated hollow members 2 arranged equidistantly with each other, a free-end of metal rods to be aligned in fixed orientation, are manually inserted in a ring 3 placed within each members 2, a laser acuity sensor installed on each rings 3 for detecting rods diameter, a camera 5 installed on each members 2 for capturing and detecting length of rods, and a motorized slider 6 attached in between rings 3 and inner walls of member 2 for translating rings 3 in a manner to position a suitable length of rods within members 2 in order to prevent undesired movement of rods, thus stabilizing rods in view of allowing construction of a structure using rods."
