MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641062321 A) filed by Kits Akshar Institute Of Technology; and KKR & KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, on May 16, for 'iot powered chaild safety and car locking prevention system with temperature and motion monitoring.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. G. Ramya Sree; Dr. K. Tirupathaiah; Pothamsetti Jyothiprasanna; Gade Charitha; Yerramsetty Lakshmi Priya; and Mundlapati Vyshanavi.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "When a vehicle is closed, the temperature inside the car can increase very fast, especially during sunny days. This can make the situation dangerous for a child and may lead to severe health issues. The main aim of this project is to design a system that can help to prevent such accidents by using basic Embedded-IoT technology. In this system, different sensors are used to check both the presence of a child and the temperature inside the car. A motion sensor is used to detect small movements so that the system can tell the difference between a child and other objects. When the car is parked and the engine is turned off, the system starts checking the situation inside the vehicle. If it detects that a child is still inside, it continues to watch the temperature. If the temperature goes higher than a normal level, a message is sent to the parent's mobile phone through a Telegram bot. If the temperature becomes too high, a buzzer inside the car is switched on. This project explains a simple and practical way to improve child safety in vehicles. It uses easily available components and can help reduce the risk of accidents caused by children being left inside hot cars."
