MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541112673 A) filed by Sanskrithi School Of Engineering, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, on Nov. 14, 2025, for 'iot-enabled smart agriculture monitoring and automated irrigation system using arduino and node mcu integration.'
Inventor(s) include A. Usha; and R. Hima Bindu.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an IoT-based smart agriculture monitoring and automation system designed to optimize farming operations through real-time sensing, data transmission, and intelligent irrigation control. The system comprises an Arduino Nano (110) as the primary controller, a NodeMCU Wi-Fi module (111) for cloud connectivity, a soil moisture sensor (112), a DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor (113), an LDR sensor (114), a relay module (115), a water pump (116), an LCD display (117), and a power supply unit (118). Sensor data related to soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light intensity are collected and processed by the Arduino Nano and transmitted to an IoT cloud platform (119) via NodeMCU for real-time visualization and remote monitoring. The system automatically activates the relay and water pump when soil moisture falls below a defined threshold and deactivates them once optimal conditions are achieved. energy, minimizing manual effort, and enhancing agricultural productivity."
