MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125006 A) filed by B V Raju Institute Of Technology, Narsapur, Telangana, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'iot enabled real-time footstep power generation and remote monitoring system.'
Inventor(s) include Shaik Shafi; and Mohammed Mudassir Nawaz Pasha.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The demand for electricity is growing day by day and the limitations of using conventional energy sources are many. It highlights the need for the growing population and the need for a sustainable solution. In this paper I proposed a solution with the title Foot step power generation system with iot integration. The system is designed in such a way that the energy will be harvested from the human steps in the places which contain high human traffic. The system will convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy with the help of some hardware mechanism which is connected to a DC motor and the energy will be stored in the Storage batteries. ESP32 microcontroller is used here which is for monitoring of voltage levels and also to display the voltage generated on the 16*2 Display. The generator data will be sent to a web application via Wi-Fi for remote access. The experiment measures voltage depending on the foot pressure and the frequency applied on the food step plate which is then stored in batteries. The stored energy can be used to light up low energy devices such as LED lights and even the mobile chargers on the streets. The solution is low cost and eco-friendly and it does not harm the environment while producing energy. This can be implemented in the infrastructures like smart cities and the areas with high human traffic."
