According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Finding parking spaces has become a challenge due to increase in vehicle ownership and roads are becoming congested in urban areas. Parking management industry needs advanced sensing and monitoring technologies to optimise the usage of parking spots which reduces traffic. The proposed system utilizes intelligent automation and camera-based verification technologies combined with vehicle models databases containing dimensional specifications. Using the proposed system, parking spaces can be registered by customers through automated matching algorithms suggesting best parking spot, and monitored by property owners that make sure the space and vehicle are a good match. The system incorporates camera-based license plate recognition integrated with real-time occupancy detection sensors to authenticate reserved vehicles and prevent unauthorized parking incidents. This also ensures security, integrity, and transparency of the parking reservation and verification process. This results in more secure and efficient way to manage parking resources while focusing on customer about space allocation and on owner about space control, generating revenue."
