MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102290 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, for 'iot-based smart collar system for continuous monitoring of dairy cow health.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Kailash Chandra Juglan; Ginni Nijhawan; Dr. H Pal Thethi; and Soosan Chhabra.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An IoT-based smart collar system for continuous monitoring of dairy cow health, comprises of a neck collar based sensing module 101 to measure vital parameters including temperature, pulse rate, and activity level, a wireless communication module 102 configured to transmit sensor data to a central database for real-time monitoring, a machine learning analytics module 103 configured to analyses collected data for detecting anomalies and predicting health conditions, a portable, low-power, high-performance hardware design supporting miniaturization and ease of operation, and a user interface 104 providing real-time health status and alerts to farmers for timely interventions."
