Inventor(s) include Madhavi Mohite; Prof. Dr. Vaishali Arun Patil; Prof. Dr. Rajesh G. Raikwar; Madhuri Narendra Shinde; Ganesh Bhoju Narkhede; Anushka Bhatt; Parth Agrawal; Amrit Singh Saluja; and Nikhil Agrawal.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an IoT-based Greenhouse Gas Emission Calculator designed to estimate and monitor the greenhouse gas emissions generated by household electrical appliances based on their energy consumption. The system employs current and voltage sensors (ACS712 and ZMPT101B) interfaced with an ESP32 microcontroller to measure power usagein real time. Using predefined emission conversion factors, the device computes the equivalent CO2 emissions for each appliance. The processed data is transmitted to the Blynk loT platform for visualization and remote monitoring, This invention aims to enhance energy awareness, promote sustainability, and provide users with accurate insights into their individual carbon footprint through an affordable and scalable system."
