MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102895 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'iot-based fitness management system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An IoT-based fitness management system, comprising a website module 101 for administration of gym operations and member registration, an RFID-based hardware device arranged for member authentication and body mass index (BMI) measurement, a secure data storage module 103 configured to store member data including BMI, a profile visualization module 104 arranged to display member data through graphical charts including line charts, a machine learning recommender module 105 configured to generate personalized fitness recommendations including exercise routines, diet types, basal metabolic rate (BMR), and daily caloric intake based on member data wherein the system automates fitness management by integrating hardware and software components and leverages machine learning for personalization."
