MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411071005 A) filed by Chandigarh Engineering College, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 19, 2024, for 'iot-based clothes storing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ankita Aggarwal; and Saurabh.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An IOT-based clothes storing device, comprising a body 101 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a display panel 301 accessed by a user for providing input regarding user-desired clothes that is to be accessed by the user, an imaging unit 102 captures images in vicinity of the body 101 to determine facial features of the user, a circular sliding unit 201 translate a bar 202 in proximity to chambers 103 stored with user-specified clothes, a gate 105 opens for allowing the user to collect the clothes from the body 101, an electronically controlled sprinkler 106 spray fragrance over the clothes, the bar 202 is translated for engaging an empty hanger for translation of the empty hanger towards the gate 105 for allowing the user to engage the clothes and a speaker 108 notifies the user to iron the clothes for proper storage the clothes inside the body 101."
