According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an IoT and AI-enabled Medicine ATM designed to provide automated, secure, and continuous access to prescribed medicines, particularly in rural and underserved areas. The system integrates Internet of Things technology with Artificial Intelligence to verify prescriptions, dispense medicines, and manage transactions without requiring constant human supervision. A Raspberry Pi serves as the central controller, performing AI-based Optical Character Recognition to validate prescriptions, while an ESP32 microcontroller manages sensors and servo motors for accurate dispensing. The system includes cloud connectivity for real-time inventory monitoring and data analysis, enabling efficient stock management and timely refilling. A digital payment interface based on UPI ensures secure and cashless transactions. Additionally, GSM and GPS-enabled SOS functionality allows emergency communication even without internet connectivity. The system also supports telemedicine through real-time video consultation, enhancing accessibility, improving healthcare delivery, and ensuring safe and efficient medicine distribution."
