The method also includes comparing, by the gNB, the one or more UE-based AI/ML model output parameters and/or KPIs with corresponding predefined benchmarked values. Furthermore, the method includes upon determining that at least one of the one or more UE-based AI/ML model output parameters and/or KPIs is below the corresponding predefined benchmarked value configuring, by the gNB, the UE to perform non-AI/ML-based operations for the at least one selected functionality or use-case, and one of disabling or continuing AI/ML-based measurements and/or predictions for the at least one selected functionality or use-case based on one or more predefined criteria corresponding to the received device capability information."
