According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current invention reveals interactive system of assessing the pronunciation in the English language in artificial intelligence and identifying the regional and cultural differences in speaking. Old speech evaluation methods tend to use consistent standards of accent and they grade non-native or regionally affected speakers of English unfairly. The invention brings in a framework that evaluates dynamically with regard to the background and exposure of the learner to language. The system captures speech samples by microphone or by some kind of digital device, wires them with deep neural speech processing, evaluates them on the characteristics of pronunciation including phoneme, prosody, stress, and rhythm. An adaptive level scoring engine gives live visual and audio feedback, pointing at a particular phoneme divergence and area of improvement. Contextual learning interface proposes instructional exercises that are specific to the learner and his/her level of proficiency and accent. The invention has incorporated accent sensitivity and adaptive pedagogy to provide inclusive training in pronunciation to learners in different regions of the English speaking world as well as being highly linguistically correct and pedagogically equitable."
