MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004050 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'inter-convertible anti-theft locking device for two-wheelers.'
Inventor(s) include Ruchi.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An inter-convertible anti-theft locking device for two-wheelers comprising, a T-shaped frame 1 developed to be installed on seat post of a two-wheeler, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 is mapped with frame 1 to determine dimensions of seat post present in proximity to frame 1,, a pair of metallic protrusions 5 integrated at ends of coupling unit 4 that are inserted into a pair of slots carved on frame 1 by user wherein each of slots are integrated with an electromagnet that are energized/de-energized by microcontroller for fitting coupling unit 4 with frame 1 to form an elongated structure, multiple extendable links 7 integrated on inner periphery of coupling unit 4 to get extended till opposite end of coupling unit 4 which results in formation of configuration of two-wheeler's carrier for accommodating an additional weight on two-wheeler in case user-desired configuration corresponds to a carrier."
