MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002019 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'intelligent pesticide sprinkling system.'

Inventor(s) include Lakshpreet Singh; Budda Eswar; Sarneet Singh Oberoi; Avid Debbarma; Manpreet Singh; Dr. Akash Gupta; and Dr. Manjeet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The intelligent pesticide sprinkling system (100) provides autonomous, plant-specific pesticide application using integrated sensing, artificial intelligence, and adaptive spraying control. The system includes an image acquisition module (102), a data acquisition module (104), a processing unit (106), a behavioural analysis engine (108), an adaptive content control module (110), and a connectivity and supervision module (112). The system (100) captures real-time leaf images, detects disease severity, and automatically adjusts pesticide dosage according to no infection, mild infection, or severe infection categories. The system (100) navigates fields autonomously using GPS and obstacle sensors, enabling targeted chemical delivery and minimising waste. On-device AI analysis eliminates dependency on cloud networks. The system (100) improves spraying accuracy, reduces environmental impact, and enhances agricultural productivity."
