MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541132919 A) filed by R. M. K. Engineering College, Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'intelligent parking system.'

Inventor(s) include Jaison B; P Baby Shamini; Mukilan T; and Dhanush B.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Finding a decent parking space is a major worry for metropolitan residents. The primary cause for this is a scarcity of parking spaces. Traditional Parking System It is based on manual supervision or simple sensor technologies. It cannot tackle problems such as traffic congestion or fuel waste. and efficiently address environmental degradation. The objective of the present invention is to develop an IoT-based intelligent parking system that effectively manages parking to fit the greatest number of cars in a space."
