MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123585 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'intelligent muscle and heart variability for safe and efficient lifting.'

Inventor(s) include C. Balasubramaniam; R. Devbharath; A. S. Hariharan; and K. S. Thanver.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention presents the design and development of Lift Smart AI, an intelligent wearable system that monitors muscle activity, heart rate variability, and body posture in real time using Artificial Intclli~Jcncc (AI) and Internet of Things (loT) technologies. The system eliminates the need for manual supervision during lifting and exercise by employing EMG, HRV, and IMU sensors to capture precise physiological signals. These signals arc processed through an Al-based anomaly detection algorithm that automatically identifies muscle fatigue, posture deviation, and abnormal stress levels. All processed data and alerts are securely transmitted to a cloud database through loT-enabled connectivity, allowing coaches, physiotherapists, and authorized users to access real-time health insights through a mobile or web dashboard. The platform further supports live monitoring, performance analytics, risk assessment, and automated report generation, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making. This innovation enhances workout safety, reduces the risk of injuries, and improves rehabilitation outcomes by providing continuous, accurate, and personalized monitoring. It is especially suitable for gyms, sports training centers, physiotherapy clinics, and occupational safety environments, promoting a smart, reliable. and technology-driven approach to physical performance and health management."
