MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113792 A) filed by Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'intelligent modular tile system with ambient responsive illumination.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a modular wall tile system featuring faceted crystalline surfaces and integrated micro-LED lighting that adaptively responds to ambient light and sound. The tiles incorporate magnetic edge connectors for seamless, tool-free assembly with concealed power and data transmission. An onboard microcontroller processes environmental inputs and synchronizes lighting patterns across interconnected tiles. The wireless communication enables user customization via mobile or desktop applications. This system provides a continuously evolving ornamental display with infinite geometric configurations. It delivers dynamic, ambient, reactive illumination with high aesthetic value and installation flexibility."
