Inventor(s) include Mr. Vijaysankar G; Mr. Subodh Raju M; Mr. Hossain Mohammad Omar; Ms. R. Jeevitha; Ms. C. Sasikala; Dr. T. Primya; Mr. D. Prem Kumar; Dr. K. Vivekrabinson; Ms. M. Suganya; and Ms. S Princy.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Intelligent data classification in block chain storage using ML Abstract: An intelligent data classification system integrating Machine Learning, Blockchain technology, and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) is disclosed for secure and efficient management of industrial data. The system collects IoT sensor data via RFID and applies a Random Forest algorithm for real-time classification and anomaly detection. Processed data is stored off-chain using IPFS, while cryptographic hashes and metadata are recorded on an Ethereum blockchain to ensure data integrity, traceability, and immutability. The proposed framework creates a unified pipeline combining data analytics with decentralized storage and verification, overcoming limitations of traditional separated architectures. Experimental results demonstrate classification accuracy exceeding 90% with enhanced reliability through cross-validation and statistical validation. The system minimizes on-chain storage costs while enabling secure auditing mechanisms to detect data tampering, thereby providing a scalable and trustworthy solution for industrial data management."
